Pur-suit, LLC (“Pursuit,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you when you use our website (www.mypursuitapp.com), Pursuit-branded mobile applications, and the services we provide on such platforms (collectively, the “Services”), how we use the information we collect, with whom we share it, and the choices we offer you regarding our collection and use of such information. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the provisions of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

Types of Information We Collect

We may collect personal information from you, meaning information about you that can uniquely identify you (for example, your name, address, email address, and phone number), and non-personal information about you, meaning information that does not uniquely identify you (for example, your age, date of birth, gender, school, whether you live in a single parent household, etc.), when you register for an account to use the Services (“Account”), when you interact with the Services, or when you otherwise choose to provide us with such information. We may also obtain personal and non-personal information about you from publicly available sources and from our affiliated companies, service providers, business partners, and other third parties.

In addition, if you use the Services on a mobile device and your mobile device’s settings allow it, we may collect information about your real-time location. Please see the “Your Choices” section below for information regarding how to limit the location information that Pursuit may collect when you access and use the Services via a mobile device.

We may enable you to log into the Services using a social media account, and if you do so you may be asked to grant Pursuit access to certain information from your social media profile, such as your friends or contacts lists, photographs, and updates. Please refer to the privacy settings of the applicable social media platform or application to determine how you may manage the interactivity between Pursuit and your social media account.

When you use the Services, we may also collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies. A “cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. Certain features of our Services may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and how you interact with the Services. We may also use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics and Flurry) that collect information about use of the Services. The information we may collect by automated means may include, but is not limited to, the following: information about the devices you use to access the Services (such as the IP address and the type of the device, operating system, and web browser); dates, times, and duration of use of the Services (including whether you are a repeat or first time visitor); and information regarding actions taken when using the Services (such as page views and site navigation patterns).

We may also collect information from organizations (“Participating Organizations”) using the Services to promote volunteer, internship, employment, and other opportunities (“Activities”) and to seek and connect with users who are interested in participating in such Activities (“Participants”). Such information may include, without limitation, personal information of the Participating Organization’s administrator, a description of the Participating Organization and its mission statement, tax ID/EIN, website address, and information about Activities the Participating Organization promotes via the Services.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We may use information we obtain about you to: provide you with Services you request; send you emails or other information or materials you request; respond to your questions and comments and provide customer support; communicate with you about our Services, offers, and promotions; enable us to display advertisements to our advertisers’ target audiences and communicate with you about third parties’ goods and services that may be of interest to you (please see the “Your Choices” section below for more information); operate, evaluate, and improve our business and the Services we offer; enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements; comply with applicable legal requirements and industry standards; and in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.

In other cases, we associate the information we collect using cookies and related technologies with personal information – for example, to identify and authenticate users.

We may use non-personal information we collect for any purpose. Aggregated information is considered non-personal information for purposes of this Privacy Policy.

Behavioral Tracking

We may use automated technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). Your web browser or mobile device may let you choose your preference as to whether you want to allow websites and online services to collect personal information over time about your online activities across different websites and online services. Some content or applications, including advertisements, provided on our website or mobile applications are served by third parties. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Services. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information, or they may collect information (including personal information) about your online activities over time and across different websites and online services. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. We may disclose non-personal information about our users without restriction. We may disclose your personal information:

We engage third parties to provide marketing, advertising, communications, infrastructure and IT services, to process payment card transactions, and to personalize and optimize our Services; to third parties to market their products or services to you if you have not opted out of these disclosures. We also reserve the right to transfer your personal information to a buyer or other transferee in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, sale, or other transfer of some or all of our assets. Should such a sale, merger, or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use your personal information in a manner that is consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

We offer you the following choices about the information we collect from you and how we communicate with you:

Cookies.

Most browsers and mobile devices will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to be notified when you receive a new cookie, and how to disable existing cookies. However, you typically cannot control, delete, or disable the acceptance of Flash cookies through your browser. Marketing Emails.

If we have sent you a marketing email, you may choose not to receive subsequent marketing emails from us by following the unsubscribe instructions contained in each email, or by logging into your Account and adjusting your email preferences on your Account profile page. Please note that this opt-out does not apply to, and Pursuit is not responsible for, communications you receive from Participants and Participating Organizations.

Web and Mobile Analytics.

You may opt-out of the aggregation and analysis of data collected about you on our website by Google Analytics by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You may opt-out of the aggregation and analysis of data collected about you when you use our mobile applications by Flurry by visiting http://www.flurry.com/legal-privacy/end-user-opt-out using your mobile device.

Location Information.

If you access our Services using a mobile device or mobile browser, you may adjust the settings on your mobile device to allow or prevent the sharing of location information. For example, you can disable “Location” (or “Location Services” on iOS-based devices or Android Devices) on your mobile device to prevent sharing your location information with Pursuit. Please refer to instructions provided by your mobile service provider or the manufacturer of your mobile device to learn how to adjust your mobile device settings. Please note that if you disable the sharing of location information, you may be unable to access some features of our Services that are designed for mobile devices.

Disclosure of Personal Information for Third-Party Advertising.

If you do not want us to share your personal information with third parties for their own promotional purposes, you can opt-out by checking the relevant box located on the form on which we collect your personal information, or by logging into your Account and adjusting your user preferences on your Account profile page.

Targeted Advertising.

If you do not want us to use information that we collect or that you provide to us to deliver advertisements according to our advertisers’ target-audience preferences, you can opt-out by logging into your Account and adjusting your user advertising preferences on your Account profile page. For this opt-out to function, you may need to have your browser set to accept browser cookies.

We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, a number of these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt-out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative on by visiting http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

If you have created an Account, you can review and change the personal information associated with your Account by logging into your Account and visiting your profile page.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Services that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us at info@Pursuit.com.

Children Under the Age of 13

The Services are not directed to, and Pursuit does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from, children under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under the age of 13, please contact us at info@Pursuit.com.

Personal Information of Minors

Some of the Services may be used by Participants ages 13 and older (“Minors”). When a Minor has registered for an Account, the Minor’s parent or guardian may view, change, and/or delete the personal information associated with the Minor’s Account by logging into the Account and visiting the profile page. If you are a parent or guardian and need assistance logging into your Minor child’s Account, please email us at info@Pursuit.com. Please keep in mind that a request to delete records may lead to a termination of an Account and/or your Minor child’s access to or use of the Services.

Data Transfers

Pursuit is based in the State of Colorado in the United States. When we obtain information about you, we may transfer, process and store such information outside of the country in which you reside, including in the United States. The countries in which we process information may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you are located. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer to and processing and storage of your information in countries outside of your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws than those in the country where you reside.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

Pursuit reserves the right to update or change this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make a material change to our Privacy Policy, we will indicate (on the homepage of our website or otherwise) that our privacy practices have changed and will provide a link to the new policy. In the event we make a material change to how we use your personal information, we will provide you with an opportunity to opt out of such new or different use. The date this Privacy Policy was last revised is at the top of this page. You are responsible for periodically reviewing the Privacy Policy to check for any updates or changes.
